PORTUGAL Follow Up

We held an event to disseminate the Erasmus+ Programme and mobility itself, aimed at young people and youth workers, which took place within the framework of the Open café session of 14.12.2022, in the Fireplace Room of Vila Beatriz, in Ermesinde and was attended by 15 participants. Relevance and timeliness of the themes, the acquisition of knowledge and work tools on the theme of digital transformation and digital empathy, as well as on the country. The diversity of the group that allowed for a variety of approaches and interactions:

  • The place, accommodations, as well as theinformal mbiente in which the training took place.
  • Very interested and participatory participants.


We count on the collaboration of the Nó Górdio Association, promoter of this training course, which, within the framework of the protocol signed with the Municipality of Valongo, addressed to Mr. Councilman of Youth the invitation to participate in this training and assumed all the articulation and details inherent to the training with the partner association, Acpélia Association, as well as with the participants of the Municipality of Paredes. Nó Górdio, in partnership with 9 European partners (Bulgaria, Cyprus, Spain, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Portugal), had approved an Erasmus+ project called "Digital Empathy (DIGEM)", which took place between 1 and 8 October 2022, in Hylatio, Pissouri, Limassol, Cyprus, the host entity being the non-governmental organization, ACPELIA, based in Pissouri. All costs were borne by the programme. In this sense, an invitation was sent for the participation of two elements of the Youth Division in this project, and the participation of collaborators Fernanda Costa and Isabel Osório and João Pedro Machado and Paulo Machado of the Municipality of Paredes in this training was proposed and approved. This project promoted the training of 36 youth technicians (4 from each organization) and consisted of participation in seminars, workshops and non-formal education activities, which had the following objectives:

  • Promote empathy with users;
  • Increase emotional awareness of discrimination;
  • provide practical tools with a view to improving the digital skills and knowledge of participants;
  • Improve online communication;
  • Strengthen the potential of organizations to improve the care of contemporary youth needs through the integration of technology and digital tools into youth work;
  • Develop mathematical skills through innovation.

The participation in the training "DIGITAL EMPATHY" aimed to promote the acquisition of skills in the area of Digital Entrepreneurship, develop empathy and humanitarian values, in order to equip participants with tools, skills and soft skills, to apply in their work with young people and other users, while accompanying the digital transformation.
