EVALUATION
The program was evaluated continuously throughout its duration. This was accomplished along the course of the project. However, minor tweaks were made to ensure that all organizations and participants were "comfortable" with the project's activities during its eight-month lifetime. As a result, the project's central idea remained stable and unchanging.
(a) Initial Evaluation was held via a webinar discussion with the representatives from the organizations and a webinar with the participants in July 2022. In this evaluation, the whole timetable of the program was analyzed and evaluated as an idea. Since we received positive assessment, we maintained the timetable as it was scheduled.
b) The next evaluation (Middle evaluation) was conducted everyday in self-reflection 10 min sessions at the end of each day from the participants. In these self-reflective evaluations, we were hearing what changes participants wanted to improve their stay in the hotel and working space. The questions that were raised during this middle evaluation of the training concerned what they liked and disliked, what they expected as educational outcomes, what they thought about the whole organization up to that point, and whether there was anything that bothered them, in order to discuss and implement necessary changes.
(c) Another evaluation of participants took place on the final day of the activities (7th of October 2022), through an online questionnaire with multiple choice and open-ended questions about each activity and the whole project up to that point. The evaluation's findings can be downloaded here:
The evaluation report was used to facilitate discussion among all trainers and organizers of the training in order to improve performance in future comparable training sessions.
(d) In addition to the aforementioned, a more accurate evaluation was conducted via a general report that had to be produced by all organizations to evaluate our activities, as well as the meeting venue, the meals, the social events, and generally all the logistics and stages. The evaluation of the organizations came through the reports and dissemination that participants did in their home countries concerning the results of the program.
(e) In addition to the evaluation reports, we requested that all organizations write their own evaluation letters through the assistance of the participants in order to obtain an overall report from each organization for the whole implementation of the project. The evaluation letters can be found on the project's website: https://digem-8.webnode.co.uk/evaluation-letters/
(f) Moreover, participants had the opportunity to self-evaluate the project's results through the Youthpass framework according to what they believed they had gained subjectively.
Our organization received numerous opinions as a result of the aforementioned evaluations, and we worked to enhance our future applications, to be more proactive and prudent in multiple areas, and to "overcome" our current weaknesses.
